Reading, Writing, Arithmetic #29

Way back in May I drafted a Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, a semi-regular kudos to the great film-related stuff I read. I mean, I read a lot, but often fail to bow down to those that produce and put out there great material. Somewhere along that fruitful journey towards summer I simply neglected the whole recommended links section of my website. regrettably. Life gets in the way right? Well, Here is the 28th edition of the entertainment shout-outs. Only they are months old now. I know, that’s like years in the cinema industry. Please. The following terrific pieces are always going to be relevant and rewardingly captured, covering a couple of great video essays, and an interview, from exceptional works from 2014, women and gay representation in modern film, as well as a female director discussing her incredible Turkish debut. I’ll leave you to it.Â
